We are lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. My kids have swung, spun, and raced through many of them ... and definitely have their favorites!
Here’s a list of our family’s favorite parks and playgrounds in Frisco, and Little Elm:
Park Name: Beard Park (Woodland Theme Playground) in Little Elm, TX.
Location: 310 E Eldorado Pkwy, Little Elm, TX 75068
Features: The actual playground has a lot of fun features for kids of all ages. First of all, there’s the treehouse with two slides and multiple climbing features to get up there – including a rope bridge and a boulder. Another fun aspect of the treehouse is that big kids can climb up and hide at the top but there is also a little doorway at the bottom that kids of all ages can run through and use as a hideaway.
This playground also includes:
- a mini-tree house and slide
- an additional climbing area with slides
- roundabout
- picnic benches in a shaded pavilion
- a music area
- AstroTurf flooring

Park Name: McCord Park
Location: McCord Park, 2050 FM 423, Little Elm, TX 75068
Features: Amenities in the public park include over a mile of hike and bike trail, an 18-hole disc golf course, a fishing dock, pedestrian bridges, picnic areas, a splash pad, a dog park, and two playgrounds. One of the playgrounds looks like a space station but isn't designed for younger children.
The other playground has everything you would expect: slides, swings, a climbing structure, and also has an adult's exercise area that is fun for kids too.

Park Name: Little Elm Beach (Beach PlayGround) in Little Elm
Location: 701 W. Eldorado Parkway Little Elm, TX 75068
Features: Zip-lines and numerous fun and unique climbing structures abound at Little Elm Park. The big attraction for this playground is its proximity to Little Elm Beach, which makes it a day trip destination. When your kids have enough of the playground, you can extend the fun by walking to the beach to dig in the sand and, if it’s warm enough, play in the water. In addition, almost immediately behind the playground, you can connect to the beautiful Johnny Broyles Nature Trail, a concrete hike and bike path that loops around the lakeshore and is mostly shaded.

Park Name: Hope Park
Location: 8000 McKinney Road, Frisco
Features: Located in Frisco Commons Park, features an all-abilities playground so that all kids can play. Complete with rubberized footing, a sensory area, adaptive equipment, a “picnic alley,” “big kid lot” and “tot lot,” it has everything kids need for a day of fun. It even has a spray park nearby to help your kids cool off amid the searing Texas heat. Restrooms are available on-site.

Park Name: Limestone Quarry Park in Frisco
Location: 6300 Maltby Drive, Frisco
Features: The creek, West Rowlett Creek, at Limestone Quarry Park is a great spot to stay cool when it’s hot outside. The water is clean, clear, and cool and the area is mostly shaded. To find the creek, walk directly behind the playground, and you will see a bench. There is a very small trail leading into the trees and down to the creek. Note that you can’t see the creek until you venture into the trees. Please be aware of snakes. There are no restrooms on-site.

Park Name: B. F. Phillips Community Park
Location: 3335 Timber Ridge Drive, Frisco
Features: Has just about everything you and the kiddos need for a day full of fun. The park itself is enormous and has two playgrounds to match that energy. And it’s the perfect place to bring your dog, too, as it includes a dog park. The park’s other amenities include a bike trail, concession facilities, a disc golf course, football field, picnic tables, practice and game fields, a seating arbor, a soccer field, and a walking trail.
Restrooms are available on-site.
